Time to hit the dirt!

With the crazy warm weather, the camp is open early.  So we get to hit the dirt in March?Who doesn’t love Wisconsin weather…

First team dirt ride is Sunday @ 9am at the camp (3/25/12).  Meet at the trailhead.  Let’s fly those team colors with a nice turnout.

OK, maybe the camp doesn't have quite this elevation...

The first workdays at the camp are set for Saturday (3/31) and Sunday (4/1).  Let Shawn know if you can make one of the days .  The county has approved new trails, but we need to show that we will provide some team power.  If you haven’t participated before, it is just a few hours of good “cross training” and fun (but don’t be around Kelly as he won’t stop talking about race tactics…).   Families are welcome to help out.    We all ride the trails, and they wouldn’t exist without volunteer help, so let’s show our appreciation and Flyer spirit!

Spring Training Rides

Beginning March 10, we will begin training rides.  We will meet at He Nis Ra Park at 9am and usually break into a long ride (for those roadies) and a shorter ride (usually 25-40 miles).  Bring your road or CX bikes for the rides.  These will both Saturday and Sunday every weekend in March and possibly into April.  If the snow melts, maybe we’ll even see those Fat Bike guys jump on their skinnies for a ride!

Contact Shawn for questions.

Gloves and caps

Here is how the gloves and caps will look.  The gloves will be the fingerless type.  The caps are polyester, so won’t hold all of the moisture like a cotton cap will (good for those rainy races), but still has the classic look.  Wear under a helmet or on it’s own for the neo-hipster look!

Get you orders to Shawn if you want some!
